Food Photography and The Hungry Cuban

Most of my posts on my site are videos of me creating great healthy recipes. It wasn’t until recently that I became intrigued by some of the great still pictures of fellow food bloggers, that I started to search to find ways to take great pictures of the recipes that I had created. You know you have a great picture when your mouth begins to water.
As the day approaches to start Culinary School, I wanted to be able to take, not only videos of my experience but also great pictures that I could share with my readers. I asked Santa (my wife) that I wanted a good compact Digital Camera with HD video. Santa agreed, yahoo!
I came to the conclusion that I needed something easy and compact to use at school. I set out to find the best compact digital camera that would meet my needs. A camera that is compact takes great pictures and has HD video quality. Something I could stick in my back-pack and take to culinary school.
So have much research I decided on the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20/B 10.1 MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom and Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization. Great price for a great little camera. I have been impressed with the pictures and the video it takes. Here are some pictures I took and a quick Video Recipe that I created to check the HD quality.
I have done allot of research on how to take great food photography. Here are the two sites that have helped me the most.

I too have learned from Ben and Matt. Looks like you’re off to a good start. I was not able to access the video.
